A study was conducted during kharif 2000, in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, to evaluate the effects of biofertilizers (Rhizobium, phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB), vesicular arbuscular mycorrhiza (VAM) and Rhizobium+PSB+VAM) under varying P levels (40, 80, 120 kg/ha) on the yield and nutrient uptake in blackgram. Results showed that inoculation of the biofertilizers significantly increased grain and straw yields compared with the uninoculated control. The highest grain and straw yields (223.5 and 229.8 g/microplot, respectively) were obtained with the mixed inoculation of all three biofertilizers under 120 kg P/ha.. |
