Abstracts |
An axenic culture of 3 truffle species native in Hungary, was achieved using an agar-fixed medium widely used in cultures of mycorrhiza fungi. Tuber excavatum and T. brumale grew well, but the first inoculations were contaminated with a bacillus type bacterium and mildew, isolated together with sporocarp fungi. Axenic pure cultures were obtained from pure, uncontaminated mycelia. Culturing with T. aestivum was unsuccessful with the culture media used, with high contamination and low mycelium growth. Further investigations are proposed to ban the use of contaminating agents and to find the right culture medium for T. aestivum. |
