Objective: The objective of the current study was to investigate the effects of inoculating different arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (Glomuse mosseae and Glomuse aggregatum) and biological control agent on agronomic traits, wilt disease resistance and qualities parameters at seeding stage in tobacco. Method: Floating seeding technique was used to grow the seedlings in the comparative experiment with inoculation of Glomuse mosseae, Glomuse aggregatum and biological control agents for tobacco agronomic characters, tobacco chemical components and disease resistance. Result: All four treatments resulted in improved agronomic traits and quality of tobacco compared to CK. The improvement in agronomic traits and qualities of tobacco was more pronounced in seedlings treated with inoculation of Glomuse mosseae and biological control agents (20 mL) compared to the other treatments. The plants treated with inoculation of Glomuse aggregatum and biological control agents (20 mL) showed highest resistance to wilt disease followed by the inoculation of Glomuse mosseae and biological control agents (20 mL) treatment. Conclusion: The results revealed that under control experimental conditions, inoculation of Glomuse mosseae and biological control agents (20 mL) improved the quality of tobacco |
