Abstracts |
A pot experiment was conducted to study the effects of interaction between fungus Arbuscular mycorrhiza (AM) and root-knot nematode Meloidogyne incognita on the growth and physiological characteristics of cucumber. It showed that the fresh and dry weight increased significantly in the treatment of pre-inoculating AM fungi and then inoculating root-knot nematode compared with the treatment of inoculating root-knot nematode only. The disease index of root-knot nematode and the infection rate of AM fungi decreased obviously in the treatment of pre-inoculating Glomus versiforme and then inoculating root-knot nematode compared with that of inoculating root-knot nematode only. The content of peroxidase (POD), catalase (CAT), phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL) and total phenol enhanced in different degrees in the treatment of inoculating root-knot nematodes only, and the cucumber seedlings were protected by pre-inoculating G. intraradices. The phosphorus content of leaves decreased by 25.26% in the treatment of inoculating root-knot nematode only compared with CK, and the phosphorus contents of leaves increased in the treatments of pre-inoculating AM fungi and then root-knot nematode compared with inoculating root-knot nematode only. |
