Crop improvement is significantly enhanced by the application of beneficial microbes. For the purpose of growth activity studies, mycorrhizal spores and rhizobial isolates were inoculated in Crotalaria pallida. VAM (vesicular arbuscular mycorrhiza) spores and rhizobia were isolated from the rhizosphere soil and root nodules of Crotalaria pallida and Mimosa pudica. Crotalaria pallida plants were inoculated with VAM spores and rhizobia isolate. The pots treated with M2AUS, RTR4 and VAM exhibited enhancement in growth while pots without any inoculation of symbiont were shorter than the inoculated ones. |
