The mycorrhiza Boletus brunneissimus was obtained by tissue isolation using a selective culture medium. The average growth of mycelium is 0.37-0.44 cm daily. In 2003, B. brunneissimus was inoculated into the roots of a host plant, and young fruiting bodies emerged from the root system of 2 coffee [Coffea] and 1 Wedekia truilobata [Wedelia trilobata] seedlings after 30-50 days. In 2005, 192 coffee seedlings were inoculated with the mycorrhiza. Forty fruiting bodies were observed, of which 21 matured. An examination of the root system of the host plant with fruiting bodies showed the formation of intergrowth mycorrhiza. Rate of mycorrhizal infection and growth of fruiting bodies from coffee seedlings was 6.25-35.0%. |
